The Railway police on Sunday detained three youths for allegedly attempting to detonate hand grenades at the central railway station of Narayanganj city.

Narayanganj Railway Police Deputy Sub-Inspector Mokhlesur Rahman confirmed the matter.  

However, their political affiliation was not identified immediately.

Mokhlesur Rahman said: “They were trying to detonate hand grenades targeting the railway line at the central railway station. We arrested them at that time.”

“It is being investigated whether the detainees have any political affiliation. Legal action will be taken against them,” he added.
