Police detained 46 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours. 

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Sunday (January 14). 

A total of 603 pieces of yaba, 46 grams of heroin, and 130 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.    

Thirty-one cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
