Police detained 35 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours. 

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Tuesday (January 16). 

A total of 1,210 pieces of yaba, 113 grams of heroin, 6 bottles of phensidyl, 1,000 pieces of tapentadol tablet and 6.1 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions. 

Thirty-three cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
