Police detained 25 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Thursday (February 22).  

A total of 1,677 pieces of yaba, 132 grams of heroin, 38 bottles of phensidyl, and 11.3 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.       

Twenty-one cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
