Police detained 26 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Tuesday (February 27).

A total of 700 pieces of yaba, 122 grams of heroin, and 30.6 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.  

Twenty-one cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
