Protesters blocked the capital’s Shahbagh intersection demanding to raise the age limit for applying government jobs to 35.
They gathered Shahbagh intersection around 1:00 pm on Saturday. Vehicular movement on the road and adjacent areas were stopped fully. Severe traffic congestion was seen in these areas.
Shahbagh Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shahabuddin Shakil said protesters were forming human chain in front of the national museum at the noon. At one stage they blocked the Shahbagh intersection.Police are trying to bring the situation under control, he added.
