Former commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Asaduzzaman Mia has been arrested from the capital's Mohakhali area on Wednesday night.
A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested him around 11:00 pm and taken him to Khilgaon Police Station.
RAB Legal and Media Wing Director Lt colonel Muneem Ferdous confirmed the arrest to media.Asaduzzama Mia was arrested in connection with a murder case filed with Khilgaon Police Station on September 3, he added.
On January 7, 2015, Asaduzzaman Mia joined as the DMP commissioner and served the post till September 13, 2019.
