The government is going to open three more land ports soon to further expand land trade with India.

These land ports are Ramgarh in Khagrachari, Bilonia in Parashuram upazila of Feni and Gobrakura-Karaitoli in Haluaghat in Mymensingh.

According to sources, authority wants to inaugurate these three land ports immediately after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's visit to India. Time will be sought from the Prime Minister for the inauguration.

Md Alamgir Hossain, Chairman of Bangladesh Land Port Authority said, "We are ready to operate three ports, we have already informed that. If these ports are opened, import, export between the two countries will be smoother and trade will increase.
