Dhaka stock market maintained its gaining streak for the second consecutive day on Thursday based on the floor price solution in the block market.
DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose 12.64 points or 0.20 per cent settling at 6265 points.
Two other indices have also increased on the last trading day of the week. DSES, the Shariah-based index rose 7.33 points or 0.64 per cent and DS30, the blue chips index rose 8.25 points or 0.37 per cent.Turnover, another main indicator of the market, has slightly increased on the day from the previous session closed at Tk 552 crore.
Out of the total traded issues, 48 advanced, 42 declined and 224 remained unchanged.
IT, pharmaceuticals and bank sectors led the market while Genex Infosys, Orion Pharma and BPML were the top-valued shares based on turnover.
