Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has seen a green day on Tuesday after several bearing sessions with the lowest turnover.
DSEX, the broad index of the premier bourse, advanced 39.52 points or 0.63 per cent to settle at 6,230 points.
Two other indices, DSES, the Shariah-based index, rose 12.50 points or 0.93 per cent to settle at 1,355 while DS30, the blue-chip index, gained 12.79 points or 0.58 per cent to close at 2,190.Turnover, another important indicator of the market was low with Tk 428.6 crore.
Out of the issues traded, 78 advanced, 6 tumbled, and 229 remained unchanged.
Genex Info System, Orion Pharma and Padma Life Insurance were the top three shares by value while Chartered Life Insurance Company Limited, BDCOM and Intraco were the top three gainers in the trading session.
Meanwhile, the shares of 45 scripts of Tk 73 crore were exchanged in 172 trades in the block market.
