Bangladesh Bank (BB) on Wednesday increased the exchange rate of the US dollar by Tk 1 to Tk 100 considering the ongoing economic situation and demand from businessmen.
Now, those who will buy dollars from the central bank will have to pay Tk 100 for each US dollar, reports UNB.
The BB increased the dollar price within a month.On December 5, the central bank fixed the exchange rate of the US dollar at Tk 99.
BB spokesperson Masbaul Haque told the news agency that the dollar price has been increased to match the market price and it is part of a regular initiative.
