The Wage Board has published the gazette fixing the minimum wage of Tk 12, 500 taka for the readymade garment industry workers.
The gazette signed by Minimum Wage Board Chairman Liaquat Ali Mollah was published on Sunday.
According to the gazette, if anyone has any objection or recommendation on the draft recommendation of the minimum wage rate for all categories of workers employed in the garment industry sector, it should be sent in writing to the chairman of the Minimum Wage Board within 14 days of publication of the notification. After considering any objections or recommendations within the time limit, the Board will submit recommendations to the Government for its implementation.Bd-pratidin English/Lutful Hoque
