Jewellers in the country have reduced the gold prices by Tk3,138 per bhori and the new rate will be effective from 4 pm on Tuesday.

Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) came up with the decision in a press statement issued on Tuesday.

Besides, the prices per bhori of 21 and 18-carat gold have been set at Tk 1,10,995 and Tk 95,143, respectively while traditional gold will be sold at Tk 76,586 per bhori.

However, the price of silver remains unchanged and per bhori of 22, 21 and 18-carat silver is being sold at Tk 2,100, Tk 2006 and 1,715 respectively while the traditional silver is being sold at Tk 1,283 per bhori.
