The first-ever national-level conference and fair on Hajj and Umrah management is being held at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital.   

Hajj pilgrims are being provided with all necessary information on Hajj management and Hajj packages at the 152 stalls and pavilions.

Many people have come to the three-day fair to know the detailed procedures of the holy Hajj.

Visitors said this is a good chance to choose a perfect Hajj package.

Hajj agencies are helping the visitors by providing information about Hajj and Umrah and received a huge response from them.

They said there were many irregularities in Hajj and Umrah management in the past. But the scenery has changed during the tenure of the current government and Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB).

HAAB president M Shahadat Hossain Taslim said the Hajj and Umrah fair is organised to give technology-based hajj management, reduce harassment of the middlemen, and create awareness among the hajj pilgrims.  

Two separate seminars on the ‘E-Hajj system’ and ‘Makkah road initiative’ are also organised in the fair which will be held on Friday evening and Saturday morning respectively.
