France won convincingly over Poland to ensure their place in quarterfinals. The French side beat Poland 3-1 with double from Kylian Mbappe and one from Olivier Giroud in a slightly one-sided match.

Poland got some decent chances but failed to convert them as Olivier Giroud broke through for Le Blue in the 44th minute. France came out firing in the second half, as Kylian Mbappe doubled their lead in the 74th minute.

He got his brace in stoppage time along with Robert Lewandowski, who scored his second ever World Cup finals goal through a penalty that was retaken in the final minute of the game.
