A total of 857 dengue patients were admitted to various hospitals setting a new record across the country in the last 24 hours while two dengue patients died during the period.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), with the new cases, the number of total dengue patients in the country rose to 3,004 and the total death toll reached 96.

Out of 857 dengue patients, 523 patients were admitted in Dhaka and 334 patients were admitted outside the capital, it added.
