Bashundhara Eye Hospital, two strategic partners treat 1,000 poor patients

A total of 1,000 poor patients received cost-free ophthalmic treatments from an eye camp in Naogaon conducted by Bashundhara Eye Hospital and Research Institute (BEHRI) and two other stakeholders on Tuesday.

BEHRI, a venture of country’s largest business conglomerate Bashundhara Group, partnered Seven Star Shopping Mall and Vision Care Foundation in this regard.

Apart from providing treatment, the doctors selected patients requiring surgeries to be held at BEHRI at Bashundhara Residential Area in Dhaka for free.

Seven Star Eye Care Centre arranged the camp for helpless patients at Atrai Upazila auditorium on Tuesday, reports Daily Sun.

Ebadur Rahman, chairman of Atrai Upazila Parishad, presided over the camp while UNO Md Iqtekharul Islam, Upazila Parishad vice-chairmen Mamtaz Begum and Hafizul Sheikh, Seven Star Eye Care Centre director Shamimul Islam, Seven Star Shopping Mall general manager Mofazzal Hossain Ujjal, among others, were present.   

Dr Majumder Golam Rabbi and Dr Ripon Ali of Bashundhara Eye Hospital and Research Institute provided the treatment.
