Five more dengue patients died while 678 new patients were hospitalized for the disease all over the country in the last 24 hours.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Tuesday, as many as 429 dengue patients were hospitalized in Dhaka city and 249 patients were admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka during the period.

The country logged 281 dengue deaths in 2022 – the highest on record after 179 deaths recorded in 2019.
