Five more dengue patients died while 1,246 new patients were hospitalized for the disease all over the country in the last 24 hours.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Wednesday, as many as 709 dengue patients were hospitalized in Dhaka city and 537 patients were admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka during the period.
The number of dengue patients reached now 3,191 across the country, said DGHS.Total dengue death toll in this year risen to 88.
The country logged 281 dengue deaths in 2022 – the highest on record after 179 deaths recorded in 2019.
