Six more deaths were reported from dengue in 24 hours till Sunday morning, raising the fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 106 this year in the country. 

During the period, 1,424 more patients were hospitalised with viral fever.

A total of 4,955 dengue patients, including 3,154 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

The country logged 281 dengue deaths in 2022 – the highest on record after 179 deaths recorded in 2019.
