Bangladesh has logged 14 more deaths from dengue infection in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning.

At the same time, a total of 2,653 new patients were hospitalized for the disease all over the country.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Wedesday, as many as 1,327 dengue patients were hospitalized in Dhaka city and 1,326 patients were admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka during the period. 

The number of dengue patients reached now 8,189 across the country, said DGHS. 

The country logged 281 dengue deaths in 2022 – the highest on record after 179 deaths recorded in 2019.
