Bangladesh has logged 12 more deaths from dengue infection in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning.

At the same time, a total of 2,844 new patients were hospitalized for the disease all over the country.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Wednesday, as many as 1,092 dengue patients were hospitalized in Dhaka city and 1,752 patients were admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka during the period. 

The country logged 281 dengue deaths in 2022 – the highest on record after 179 deaths recorded in 2019.
