Bangladesh has logged nine more deaths from dengue infection in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning.
The total dengue death toll this year has risen to 434.
At the same time, a total of 2,149 new patients were hospitalized for the disease all over the country.According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), as many as 834 dengue patients were hospitalized in Dhaka city and 1,315 patients were admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka during the period.
The number of dengue patients reached now 9,165 across the country, said DGHS.
The country logged 281 dengue deaths in 2022 – the highest on record after 179 deaths recorded in 2019.
