Bangladesh has logged 13 more deaths from dengue infection in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning.

The total dengue death toll this year has risen to 466.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), as many as 738 dengue patients were hospitalized in Dhaka city and 1,245 patients were admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka during the period.

The number of dengue patients reached now 7,895 across the country, said DGHS. 

The country logged 281 dengue deaths in 2022 – the highest on record after 179 deaths recorded in 2019.
