Bangladesh has logged nine more deaths from dengue infection in the last 24 hours till Thursday morning.

At the same time, a total of 2,617 new patients were hospitalized for the disease all over the country.   

The number of dengue patients undergoing treatment is 9,265 across the country, said DGHS.     

The total dengue death toll this year has risen to 1,055 setting a new record in the country’s history.   

So far, the DGHS has recorded 216,864 dengue cases and 206,544 recoveries this year.

The country logged 281 dengue deaths in 2022 – the highest on record after 179 deaths recorded in 2019.
