Bangladesh has logged 12 more deaths from dengue infection in the last 24 hours till Monday morning.

At the same time, a total of 2,475 new patients were hospitalized for the disease all over the country.   

The number of dengue patients undergoing treatment is 8,149 across the country, said DGHS.   

The total dengue death toll this year has risen to 1,181 setting a new record in the country’s history.          

So far, the DGHS has recorded 242,089 dengue cases and 232,759 recoveries this year.     

The country logged 281 dengue deaths in 2022 – the highest on record after 179 deaths recorded in 2019.
