Bangladesh has logged 16 more deaths from dengue infection in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning.

At the same time, a total of 2,495 new patients were hospitalized for the disease all over the country.     

The number of dengue patients undergoing treatment is 8,299 across the country, said DGHS.     

The total dengue death toll this year has risen to 1,206 setting a new record in the country’s history.         

So far, the DGHS has recorded 247,193 dengue cases and 237,688 recoveries this year.       

The country logged 281 dengue deaths in 2022 – the highest on record after 179 deaths recorded in 2019.
