Bangladesh has logged 12 more deaths from dengue infection in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning.  

At the same time, a total of 1,852 new patients were hospitalized for the disease all over the country. 

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), of the new patients, 427 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and 1,425 outside the capital.          

The number of dengue patients undergoing treatment is 7,546 across the country, said DGHS.    

So far, the DGHS has recorded 258,912 dengue cases and 250,082 recoveries this year.      

The country logged 281 dengue deaths in 2022 – the highest on record after 179 deaths recorded in 2019.
