Bangladesh has logged 11 more deaths from dengue infection in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning. 

At the same time, a total of 1,917 new patients were hospitalized for the disease all over the country.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), of the new patients, 435 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and 1,482 outside the capital.             

The number of dengue patients undergoing treatment is 7,599 across the country, said DGHS.   

So far, the DGHS has recorded 260,829 dengue cases and 251,935 recoveries this year.     

The country logged 281 dengue deaths in 2022 – the highest on record after 179 deaths recorded in 2019.
