Bangladesh has logged 12 more deaths from dengue infection in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning. 

At the same time, a total of 759 new patients were hospitalized for the disease all over the country.

The total dengue death toll this year has risen to 1,595 setting a new record in the country’s history.

The number of dengue patients undergoing treatment is 3,924 across the country, said DGHS.    

So far, the DGHS has recorded 307,196 dengue cases and 201,677 recoveries this year.           

The country logged 281 dengue deaths in 2022 – the highest on record after 179 deaths recorded in 2019.
