Bangladesh has logged two more deaths from dengue infection in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning.

At the same time, a total of 566 new patients were hospitalized for the disease all over the country.      

The total dengue death toll this year has reached 1,641, setting a new record in the country’s history.

Meanwhile, the number of dengue patients undergoing treatment is 2,614 across the country, said DGHS.     

So far, the DGHS has recorded 315,623 dengue cases and 311,368 recoveries this year.           

The country logged 281 dengue deaths in 2022 – the highest on record after 179 deaths recorded in 2019.
