Mass dislocation increases as fewer supplies enter war-torn territory

Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians and dozens of humanitarian facilities have been affected amid the Israeli military’s latest forced evacuations for north, central and southern Gaza, reports Al Jazeera, quoting the UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

Issued between Saturday and Monday, evacuations have been ordered for several areas in the north of the Palestinian territory as well as areas in central Deir el-Balah and southern Khan Younis, the OCHA said.

The continued mass dislocation of Gaza’s population comes as last month saw the lowest volume of humanitarian and commercial supplies entering the besieged enclave since March, the OCHA reports, and as Israel’s renewed military operations in the north of the territory are cutting off access to the Jabalia area.

“There are growing risks that humanitarian access will be further constrained, particularly between southern and northern Gaza,” the OCHA warns.
