Seven people were killed as a bus ran over a motorbike and a battery-run auto-rickshaw in Pirojpur Sadar Upazila on Friday.
10 people were wounded in the accident.
The identities of the deceased were not known immediately.The accident took place at around 12:00pm in Jhautloa Bus Stand area of Sadar Upazila.
The seriously injured persons have been sent to the Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital and Khulna Medical College Hospital.
Md. Atikuzzaman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station, confirmed the matter and said that the rescue operation is underway.
