A Sherpur court on Tuesday granted bail to Dainik Desh Rupantor's Nakla upazila correspondent Shafiuzzaman Rana.
Sherpur Additional Deputy Magistrate Zebun Nahar granted the bail to Rana around 5:00 pm.
Senior lawyers Abdur Rahim Badal and Rafiqul Islam Adhar took part in the hearings while APP Arifur Rahman Sumon was present as a state representative.A mobile court on March 5 awarded journalist Rana with a six-month imprisonment on charges of obstructing government work, creating disorder and misconduct.
