Three people were killed in a collision between a passenger bus and a private car on the Bogura-Naogaon regional road in Erulia area under Sadar upazila of the district on Saturday, reports BSS.
The deceased were identified as Assistant General Secretary of Bogura Motor Workers Union Fahin Mandal, resident of Godar Para area under Sadar upazila, bus manager Hannan Mia and chain master Alamgir Hossain, both resident of Nishindara area of the district town. All three were passengers of a private car.
The accident occurred in the area when they were going to Bogura from Naogaon. On the way, their private car collided head-on with a Naogaon-bound passenger bus coming from the opposite direction around 11:30am, leaving three passengers of the private car dead on the spot, sub-inspector (SI) of Bogura Sadar Police Station Mizanur Rahman said.Police recovered the bodies from the spot and kept at Bogura Motor Workers Union office.
Police seized the bus and the private from the spot, SI said.
