Religious Affairs Minister Md Faridul Haque Khan has said the government has reduced the cost of the general hajj package compared to the previous year although there is a high price of US dollar, Daily Sun reported.

The Hajj package under government management has been reduced by Tk 1,04,178, while the package under private management has been reduced by Tk 82,818, he said.   

The minister mentioned that the government is striving to ensure pilgrims can perform Hajj at a fair cost.

Additionally, efforts are on to streamline official procedures for pilgrims, with a commitment to delivering optimal services, he added.
