Deputy Speaker of Jatiya Sangsad Shamsul Haque Tuku has been taken to Dhaka from Pabna for emergency treatment on Friday afternoon.

Confirming the matter, Bera Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Murshedul Islam said Shamsul Haque Tuku felt sick after attending a tree plantation programme. He was taken to Bera Upazila Health Complex immediately and later shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) by a Navy helicopter as the condition of his heart was not fit.
