Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader stated on Monday that the government's decision to appeal to the apex court signifies its serious commitment to abolishing the quota system, reports Daily Sun.

“We have to wait until the court delivers any final judgement. We should skip the programmes that cause public suffering by blocking roads,” he said at a press conference held at the party president’s Dhanmondi political office in Dhaka.
