Continuous heavy rains and upstream hills are flooding various lower areas of the Sylhet division. Millions of people are stuck in water in the Sylhet region affected by floods caused by ongoing mountain landslides and rains. They are living a miserable life as they are trapped in water. Low-income people and small traders have become jobless due to floods.

Due to the lack of clean water, essential medicines and medical care in various flood-affected areas, people are suffering from various water-borne diseases. In this situation, Ilman Nafiya has been with the flood victims since the beginning of the ongoing flood situation, said a media release.

The Ilman Nafiya organization said that the members of the Ilman Nafiya organization will continue such social and humanitarian activities to deal with any kind of natural disaster. It is always ready to stand by the victims as part of social responsibility in dealing with natural calamities.
