The High Court (HC) has issued a rule asking the authorities concerned to explain as to why it shall not declare contradictory with the constitution a provision of 40 per cent dependent quota in the Bangladesh Railway jobs from 14th grade to 20th grade, reports BSS.
A High Court division bench comprising Justice Mustafa Zaman Islam and Justice SM Masud Hossain Dolan issued the rule after a hearing on a writ petition filed by Supreme Court lawyer Md Rokonuzzaman.
The court asked the railways secretary and law and justice division secretary to reply the rule. Petitioner Md Rokonuzzaman moved the plea before the court.Bd-pratidin English/Tanvir Raihan
