BTRC provides directions to increase internet speed

BTRC has directed IIG operators to activate Google's cache servers to increase internet speed. The instructions given on Thursday said that the cash servers of Facebook and TikTok are currently closed. But YouTube will continue.

Earlier, the broadband internet service was launched on a trial basis on last Tuesday (July 23) night after being closed for five days. Diplomatic neighborhoods, banks and financial institutions, electricity, freelancing and technology and export-oriented sectors are getting WiFi services on a priority basis. Bandwidth supply to households was off. Internet service is available in some houses from last Wednesday night.

All the operators and transmission management concerned will meet with the regulatory body in a couple of days for launching mobile internet. There will be a report on the latest status of transmission line repairs and the progress of connection work with servers and data centers.
