After the death of his mother, Saidul was never allowed to eat a whole mango. “Who will feed the orphans?” he said tearfully, reminiscing about the times he enjoyed mango and jackfruit together. His heartfelt words left Bashundhara Shuvosangha members in silence, many with tears in their eyes.
The Bashundhara Shuvosangha, a philanthropic wing of the Bashundhara Group, organized a fruit festival for 72 orphans and students of Hafizia Madrasa in Galachipa upazila. The event aimed to bring joy to children who rarely have the opportunity to see an abundance of fruit.
Saidul’s emotional reaction to seeing so many fruits moved his peers and the organizers. Despite the somber moment, the event ended on a high note, with the children expressing immense happiness at the generous display of fruits.The festival was held recently at Keramtia Ahsafia Noorania Hafizia Madrasa in Katakhali Bazar, where the orphans and children from impoverished families gathered.
Maulana Abul Hannan, head of the Madrasa, expressed gratitude: “We are very happy with what Bashundhara Shuvosangha has organized with the help of Bashundhara Group for these orphans and helpless children of remote areas. I pray from the bottom of my heart, may Allah bless the owners of Bashundhara Group with a good life. The children of these orphaned poor families also prayed for them.”
The event was successfully coordinated by Bashundhara Shuvosangha members, including Mostafizur Rahman Shakeel Khan, Redwan Talal, Kawsar Alam, Mazharul Islam Molly, Abir Mahmud Bappi, Shubo Mia, Naemul Islam Naeem, Chhabbir Munsi, and Arif Hossain.
