Social media platform Facebook is not running on mobile networks. In addition, Russian-based messaging app Telegram is also stopped.
According to the information received, after 12.30 noon on Friday, the cache of Meta platforms on the mobile network has been blocked. Also Telegram is not running on this network.
As the violence took place around the quota reform movement, from July 17 night to July 31 afternoon, the Meta platforms like Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram were closed in country.Many people who use Facebook on mobile data say that they are having trouble running Facebook since Friday afternoon. Other platforms on Meta are also not running. However, Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has not provided any statement on it.
