Protesters call for nationwide non-cooperation movement from Sunday

The Anti-discrimination Students’ Movement, a platform for quota protest, has called for a non-cooperation movement from Sunday across Bangladesh for an indefinite period, reports Daily Sun.

Besides, they will hold protest processions on Saturday across the country, the platform said in a press release sent to the media on Friday night.

The programmes were called for protesting the killings by attacking the nationwide peaceful movement of students and citizens, and to press home the students’ nine-point charter of demands, read the release.

People from all walks of life have been urged to make the programmes a success.

Abdul Hannan Masoud, one of the coordinators of the quota protest, came live on social media platform Facebook sometime before 8:30 pm on Friday and spoke on the non-cooperation movement.

He urged all to refrain from paying taxes, utility bills, and attending offices during the movement.
