Anti-Discrimination Student Movement announces one-point demand of government's resignation

The key coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement on Saturday announced their one-point demand seeking resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her cabinet members, terming it as the “demand of students.”

Nahid Islam, Sarjis Alam and other key coordinators of the quota reform movement, made the announcement from a massive rally at the Central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka.

Nahid Islam said, "Our one point is the resignation of Sheikh Hasina and the trial of this government's looting and corruption. We will break the jail lock and bring our brothers back. Join all the mobs in the uprising that has begun. We will discuss with everyone and form a united front. We will announce the outline of our country. There will be non-cooperation movement everywhere from tomorrow.”

This coordinator said, "If the internet is closed, curfew is imposed, we will not accept it. Now the students must come forward. You will carry out non-cooperation movement peacefully. If the government stands against the people, the people will not accept it. If you fire your weapon there will be resistance. We will prosecute all genocides on the soil of Bengal.”

Elaborating the points for non-cooperation movement, he said they will enforce the movement from Sunday.

They also gave a 24-hour ultimatum to reopen all university halls for students.
