Sheikh Hasina’s son Sajeeb Wazed Joy said her mother will no longer return to politics.
Joy told the BBC that there will be no political comeback for his mother, saying she was "so disappointed that after all her hard work, for a minority to rise up against her".
Earlier in the day, Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman in an address to the country's people said an interim government will be formed to run the country as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned from her post.Sheikh Hasina and her sister Sheikh Rehana left the country for India by a military helicopter on Monday afternoon.
