Miscreants vandalised the East West Media Group’s office in Bashundhara residential area of Dhaka and assaulted a female journalist on Monday.
A group of miscreants equipped with lethal weapons entered the media house around 2:45 pm chanting with several slogans.
They first entered the Radio Capital office and vandalised official equipment, including interior decoration, furniture, doors, window panes, laptops and computers and broadcasting machineries.A female journalist was also attacked, but she was rescued by her colleagues without sustaining any major injuries.
Later, the attackers vandalised a number of cars and motorcycles parked inside the media complex.
An eyewitness said a group of miscreants abruptly entered the media house and went on vandalism indiscriminately.
