Water levels at 41 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise, while 70 stations recorded fall.

Among the 116 monitored river stations, water levels at five stations have remained steady, a bulletin issued by the FFWC said on Tuesday, reports BSS.
 
The Brahmaputra river water level is stable, while Jamuna river water level is decreasing. Water level of Brahmaputra-Jamuna rivers may remain stable in next 48 hours. 

The water level of Teesta, Dudhkumar rivers in Rangpur division in the northern part of the country is stable, while the water level of Dharla river is increasing. Normal flow of rivers may prevail and flow below danger level for next 48 hours. 

Surma-Kushiara river water level is rising at a slow pace, which may continue for the next 24 hours and may flow below the danger level. 

The water level of the main rivers of Chittagong Division in the southeastern and eastern parts of the country is increasing overall. According to meteorological agencies, heavy rainfall is not expected in the southeast, eastern and adjacent uplands of the country in the next 48 hours. At this time, the main rivers such as Muhuri, Feni, Gomti, Sangu, Matamuhuri etc. in this region may have normal flow.
