A joint operation began all over the country last night to recover unauthorised firearms and ammunition as the deadline for submitting legal and illegal weapons ended on Tuesday night.
The drive aims to recover all types of looted and stolen arms, as well as licensed weapons issued to civilians.
Members of the armed forces, BGB, Coast Guard, Police, RAB, and Ansar have been included in the joint operation team.Earlier on August 25, a government notification from the Ministry of Home said that the firearms licenses issued to civilians between January 6, 2009 and August 5, 2024, have been suspended.
