Former chairman of Exim Bank and NASSA Group chairman Nazrul Islam Mazumder was arrested from the city's Gulshan on Tuesday night.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner (DB) Rezaul Karim Mallik confirmed that a team of detectives arrested Nazrul Islam Mazumder.
Several cases were filed against Nazrul Islam Mazumder. He had taken to the DB office, added the police official.Nazrul Islam Mazumder was the chairman of the Bangladesh Association of Banks (BAB) for 17 at a stretch.
He was removed from the post of chairman of Exim Bank on August 5 following the fall of the Awami League-led government.
